When you see a flower, what is the first thing you notice? Is it the size? Shape it? Its perfume? Or maybe … is its color? The color of the flower is one of many factors that make nature beautiful, and now we want to pose the following question: do you know what each color means? Otherwise, we do! Let’s see:

Red: Even though red flowers are usually associated with the emotion of true love and affection, it can also be used to convey respect, desire, and courage. Our favorite flower species available in red are roses (of course – they are a classic, but remember they also come in other colors too!), Tulips, geraniums and poppies.

Yellow: Yellow is especially associated with the spread of happiness and joy, however, it is also the perfect color for symbolizing friendship. In their bright colors and vibrant personality, yellow flowers can be used to better a person’s day and increase positive energy in a room. Some famous yellow flowers are sunflowers, daisies, tulips and lilies.

Pink: Like red flowers, pink flowers are also grown to be a symbol of love, though some other definitions include happiness, gentleness and femininity – this can be particularly if why do you see so many pink flowers on Mother’s Day bouquets. The pink color is found in flowers like roses, lilies, carnations and azaleas.

Orange: Orange flowers are bright and bold, and thus, they are known to symbolize the feelings of disturbance and enthusiasm. Some of the top flowers available in orange are lilies, tulips, marigolds and zinnias.

White: Traditionally used in bridal bouquets or during memorial services, white flowers range from definition from purity and innocence to sympathy. To deliver these messages, we recommend using orchids, daisies, carnations, or one of our favorites – roses.

Blue: The soothing blue color of many flowers is said to symbolize peace and tranquility – ultimately, this color is known to spread the feeling of relaxation to help people to release any negative emotions or feelings stress! Some blue flowers you can recognize are glories morning, hydrangeas and cornflowers.

Violet: Purple flowers are usually said to symbolize success and even royalty, though the feelings of admiration and tradition can also go through the purple flowers. Some of our favorite types of purple flowers include clematis, iris, allium and bellflower.

Lavender: Although the eyes are purple and the lavender looks similar, their meanings are different – the lavender flowers usually symbolize grace, beauty and youth. You will find this color in the following flowers: daisies, orchids, lilacs and petunias.

Green: Green flowers and green color in nature can be attributed to rebirth and renewal. Additionally, green can also symbolize good health, good luck and youth. There are several green plants you can use to surround yourself with positive emotions, and some green flowers that you can use Ireland bells, flower buttons, green cymbidium orchid and anthurium.

Now, even if some flowers come in certain colors, you can always paint or color your flowers to show the color you want, and, some flower colors can be changed. Get hydrangeas for example. By changing the pH level of your soil, you can turn pink flowers in blue and vice versa!
